In 2018, actor-producer Michael B. Jordan announced that his production company, Outlier Society, would adopt the use of an inclusion rider for all its projects. In 2020, Jordan and Color of Change launched the #ChangeHollywood initiative, aiming to "tell authentic stories, bringing people together, partnering with influential artists, and changing the rules of the game." Through its Hollywood program, the organization collaborates with the entertainment industry to change policies and practices that inform the representation of Black people in film and television. They have created spaces for content creators and industry executives to discuss bias, imagine new pipelines to diversify the industry, and create fair, accurate, and humanizing portrayals of Black Americans. They have also consulted with writers for shows and mini-series such as Seven Seconds and When They See Us.
