Guo Pei's Barbie Doll Wearing Golden-Yellow Crown is a Mattel Creations exclusive and a Platinum Label item. It is the fashion designer's first collaboration for the Barbie Signature Collection. Inspired by the Qing Dynasty, the dress is from a collection Pei showed in 2010. Singer Rihanna wore the gown to the 2015 Met Gala. 

The Beijing-based Pei has been creating fashion since the early '90s and started her couture journey in the early 2000s. She's dressed many Chinese celebrities and designed Song Zuying's dress for her performance with Placido Domingo at the closing ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.
