2002 Festival

In 2002, Coachella returned for two days following a new partnership formed with concert conglomerate AEG Live. Each day reportedly saw 40,000+ attendees. Compared to its earlier editions, it had a more relaxed vibe, with an emphasis on enjoying the music and art in a laid-back California setting.

Björk brought her unique blend of experimental and orchestral electronic music and the legendary British rock band Oasis delivered one of the most anticipated performances, with tracks from both their classic catalog and later albums.
