The name Coca-Cola was born out of branding brilliance. Frank M. Robinson, Dr. Pemberton’s business partner and bookkeeper, suggested the name, believing that “the two Cs would look well in advertising.” He also designed the now-famous flowing script that still defines the brand today.
The name was inspired by two key ingredients in the original formula: coca leaves and kola nuts. Robinson, preferring a more elegant touch, replaced the “K” in kola with a “C”…
