Anna Wintour is a prominent British-American fashion executive, born in 1949 in London. She began her career as a teenager, contributing to two British magazines. In 1975, she relocated to New York City to join her boyfriend and secured a position as a junior editor at Harper's Bazaar. By 1983, she was appointed creative director at Vogue and served as editor of British Vogue from 1985 to 1987. In 1988, she returned to New York to become editor-in-chief of American Vogue, a position she continues to hold today. Additionally, since 2013, she has served as the global content officer for Condé Nast Publications, the parent company of Vogue.
