During the 2014 Red Carpet arrivals, an unknown man appeared wearing only a hot-pink "mankini" and a chunky gold chain. However, the police intercepted the man and prevented any further incidents. Similar incidents of streakers disrupting pop culture events have occurred in the past, including the 1974 Oscars. In a more recent occurrence in 2024, a shirtless Florida man ran onto the field during the "Chiefs vs. Niners" Super Bowl game. Streaking, or running naked in public places, began on college campuses in the late fall and winter of 1973, and by March, it had become a nationwide craze. Dozens of pop songs, including "The Streak," by Ray Stevens, capitalized on the fad of "15 minutes of fame."
