TERMS OF USE
We kindly ask you to comply with these guidelines to ensure the safe and fair use of our website and other media channels, and by using them, you agree to these terms of use. These terms are the complete agreement between you and Contextualines regarding using our website and other media channels, and they replace any previous agreements you may have had. The following terms of use do not limit or exclude our or your liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Similarly, they do not limit or exclude our or your liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or fraud. Furthermore, they do not limit any of our or your liabilities in any way that is not permitted under applicable law. Lastly, they do not exclude any of our or your liabilities that may not be excluded under applicable law. The limitations and exclusions of liability, which are mentioned in this Section and elsewhere in these terms of use, are subject to the preceding paragraph and govern all liabilities arising under the terms of use or about the subject matter of the terms of use, including liabilities arising in contract, in tort (including negligence), and for breach of statutory duty. We will not be held accountable for any losses resulting from events beyond our reasonable control. This includes but is not limited to loss of profits, income, revenue, use, production, expected savings, business contracts, commercial opportunities, or goodwill, all of which may occur in your business. We will not be responsible for any damage or loss of data, databases, or software, and will not be held liable for any special, indirect, or consequential loss or damage.

We may need to expand on these terms as Contextualines grows and we add more capabilities and functions. Contextualines will occasionally update this Privacy Statement to reflect company and customer feedback. We will make reasonable efforts to inform our users, who have provided us with their valid email addresses, about any changes to these terms; however, we are not obligated to do so. We encourage you to periodically review this statement to learn how we protect your information.

Media Upload Rules
You may upload videos, images, audio, and documents of personal items you own or those of a third party, if you credit the source (where you found the media). Public-domain images are not copyrighted, and copyright law does not restrict their use in any way. Media may be placed into the public domain by their creators or publicly reproduced and distributed among different media channels. Unauthorized use of copyrighted material under an invalid claim of fair use constitutes copyright infringement and is illegal. It is the curator's responsibility to follow the law and verify the rights to use media.

Contextualines collects personally identifiable information, such as email addresses, names, home or work addresses, telephone numbers, and billing information. It also collects anonymous demographic information that is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests, and favorites. We also collect IP addresses, browser types, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses. This information is used to operate the service, maintain its quality, provide general statistics on the use of the Contextualines website, and inform members of changes, updates, and offers tailored to their preferences. It’s also used to determine what services are the most popular. We use this data to deliver customized content and advertising to customers whose behavior indicates interest in a particular subject area. Contextualines does not share, sell, or lease members’ information to third parties. Personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data that members voluntarily and directly disclose through Contextualines may be collected and used by others.
Contextualines' website uses "cookies" to help personalize members’ online experiences. A cookie is a text file placed on your hard disk by a web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can be read only by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenient feature to save you time. A cookie tells the web server you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you personalize Contextualines pages or register as a member, a cookie helps Contextualines recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies recording your personal information, such as billing and shipping addresses. You can accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can modify your browser settings to decline cookies. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to experience the website's interactive features during your visit.
Contextualines secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protecting it from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.

CurAtion & COLLABORATION
In addition to our Curators' Team, we welcome any visitors interested in documenting history to help us discover and index items in the public domain. Moreover, individuals who have owned, collected, witnessed, received, inherited, or cherished these items and historical events contribute significantly to the experience of our users on our platform. Their personal stories can offer unique perspectives and highlight the human connections that bring us closer together as a society.
A curator shares our passion for preserving the legacy of pop culture topics and historical events for the benefit of future generations. They help us enhance visitors' experiences while passionately documenting and preserving factual information.
They can also become part of the narrative when sharing their personal accounts, as only those who experienced, inherited, cherished, or created these stories can do so. Through their detailed recollections of an event, an autograph, a concert ticket, or a selfie with an idol, they reveal valuable insights and perspectives to the world.
Anyone who creates a timeline with at least five items can apply to become its curator. Curators must have proven superior knowledge or interest in a subject and be willing to contribute regularly. They become moderators responsible for keeping the timeline accurate, current, and interesting, as well as adding new items, verifying uploaded information, and attracting traffic to them.
Collaborators are interested in curating items in exchange for a backlink to their channels, which would ideally become a relevant extension of our visitors' experience as they explore their passions. The more collaboration there is, the more potential targeted visitors they receive.
Public-domain or personal items submitted through any of our channels go through an approval process, where our team determines if all elements meet our requirements. That may include image quality, content tone, grammar accuracy, and copyrights, among other factors. Our team can either approve or communicate with the curator and indicate the need for revisions until we are satisfied with the outcome. Once approved, the item becomes part of the conservatory and can only be deleted by Contextualines. Curators can request changes, which we may implement at our discretion. We welcome and appreciate curators' efforts to keep items up to date.
We also rely on visitors to help maintain accuracy by following the Flag link on every item page to report broken and incorrect links, verify information, vet copyright claims, and flag items suspected of legal infringement.
Curators and Collaborators are not compensated for their contributions and can create items free of charge.
* This promotion is valid from October 30th to December 31st, 2025.
* Curators become Collaborators when they create a new item instead of adding information to items that are already published on an existing timeline. They must also include a link to their channel (website or social media).
* Our team must approve all items before the backlink is activated.
* Items that are approved and published during the promotional period will remain in the timeline, and the links added will remain free of charge for Collaborators for as long as Contextualines operates. Items added after the promotional period may incur charges based on current conditions and fees.
* Collaborators are responsible for notifying Contextualines if there is a change to the link's URL. If we detect a broken link, we will remove it.
* Once a Collaborator's item is approved, it becomes the property of Contextualines and can only be deleted by our team.
* Collaborators are not entitled to receive any revenue from advertisements placed on their Item Pages.
* Contextualines reserves the right to add additional content to the Item Page where the backlink is placed at its discretion, without needing permission or approval from the Collaborator.
