The Rabbit R1 promises to be a dedicated personal assistant powered by AI. It was developed by the CEO and founder of Rabbit, Jesse Lyu, who says it can learn to operate apps on the user's behalf, such as controlling music, ride-hailing, grocery shopping, messaging, scheduling an Uber ride, or ordering takeout, all through a unified interface. The device uses Rabbit's proprietary large action model to execute tasks and OpenAI's GPT-4 model to understand requests. Designed in collaboration with Teenage Engineering, the device boasts a rounded body that houses a battery with an "all-day" lifespan. Rabbit OS employs a unique "Large Action Model" that turns the R1 into a universal controller for multiple apps.
