The part-time advisory position, the first of its kind, bypasses Senate confirmation and traditional oversight mechanisms, placing Sacks at the center of the AI sector, tasked with crafting a legal framework that minimizes regulation while encouraging innovation and private-sector growth. He also chairs the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).
