Yoshua Bengio is a Canadian computer scientist, best known for his pioneering work in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning. Born in 1964 in Paris, France, he is one of the leading figures in the development of neural networks and has contributed to the rise of AI since the early 1990s. Bengio is a professor at the University of Montreal, where he also heads the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms (MILA). His research primarily focuses on deep learning, neural networks, generative models, and unsupervised learning.
