In 2013, Mattel launched two Barbie dolls inspired by singer and actress Jennifer Lopez. The dolls were created by Barbie Collector's director of design, Robert Best, in collaboration with fashion designer Zuhair Murad, and each doll was modeled on a specific look worn by J.Lo. The "Red Carpet" Barbie was based on Jennifer's appearance at the 2012 Oscars, while the "World Tour" Barbie was designed with a sheer, form-fitting bodysuit embroidered with rhinestones, part of J.Lo's wardrobe during her 2012 "Dance Again" World Tour.
