On January 14, 1973, the Super Bowl VII game was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in California. It was the game of the 1972 NFL season, in which the Miami Dolphins, the American Football Conference (AFC) champion, defeated the National Football Conference (NFC) champion, the Washington Redskins, 14-7. This victory made the Miami Dolphins the only team in NFL history to achieve such a feat.
