Contextualines is a web-based collaborative platform that curates public domain items and welcomes stories behind personal treasures related to various topics, from pop culture to historical events and fascinating people. Our timelines are presented in reverse chronological order, allowing visitors to better understand the context provided by the individual pieces that contribute to the overall narrative. Our primary goal is to safeguard legacy and rescue the integrity that truth brings.
Frequently, valuable and popular topics are overlooked, fade away, and sometimes become entirely untraceable. Our distinctiveness lies in conserving significant stories by developing a channel that people can refer to and rely on, serving as the basis for individual opinion formation without interference, bias, or agendas—a rare proposition in today's world.
We refrain from offering our opinions or taking stances on the events that shape the world; instead, we present them with the utmost accuracy to help visitors based solely on facts. While we do not facilitate discussions on our platform, we encourage people to engage in conversations and express their personal views about the content found in our Blog, Groups, and Social Media channels.
Visual. Factual. Unbiased. Reliable.

Our story began during the 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections. As we watched the race for the highest leadership position in the world unfold, we recognized the need to contribute to restoring objectivity, trust, and impartiality in public discourse. The concept of an "alternative reality" seemed to undermine people's intelligence.
The election results only strengthened our mission to provide visitors with access to a vetting system that we believe is sorely lacking. It is frustrating to look back and try to understand what has been said and done with so much fake information, when reality is often not documented or preserved for easy access..
Life had gotten in the way, and other projects had detoured us from pursuing our purpose. However, in 2019, when the pandemic hit, it prompted us to reflect and reassess the political landscape, along with its ongoing issues of misinformation, disinformation, and disconnection. We recognized that we could no longer remain passive, so we returned to the database we had started developing in 2016 and worked towards making our dream a reality.
Developing the first timelines took nearly a decade before we felt ready to share them publicly. There was a big deal of frustration that we didn't make it in time for 2020, or 2024, however, the delay also gave us more time to go beyond to create more timelines of other fascinating topics that we are all equally passionate about.
Contextualines was officially established in December 2023, and the dream became real in 2025. For those who may think we'll be biased about any topic, rest assured, it's not part of this concept. What we've always wanted is to ensure that you see and hear the facts as they happened, without embellishments, half-truths, gaslighting, or craziness. We truly believe that together we can help build a world that makes sense again.
