The Kennedy Space Center (KSC), established in 1962, is located on Merritt Island, Florida. Since 1969, it has served as NASA's primary launch site for significant space missions, including the Apollo moon landings, Space Shuttle launches, and more recently, missions under the Artemis program. The center spans 144,000 acres and includes multiple launch pads, assembly buildings, and research facilities. Launch Complex 39 (LC-39) houses Pads 39A, which have been used for Apollo missions, Space Shuttle launches, and SpaceX Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches, and 39B. The Visitor Complex offers various exhibits, tours, and attractions for the public, featuring actual spacecraft such as the Space Shuttle Atlantis and simulators that replicate the space launch experience. Additionally, the complex includes the Apollo/Saturn V Center, where guests can see a restored Saturn V rocket and learn about the Apollo missions.
